No True Winning Ways
I am sure you are familiar with the situation when a tv or a computer is not working, simple fix would be banging on top of it and if you are lucky, picture will appear and for us we will be contented and feel that that is enough and we can go on with it. Sad to say, that is my observation about us, as a people, government or nation.
Instead of really working hard to make a good movie, we concentrate on advertising and make the people believe that it is a good movie.
Instead of exercising and doing all the healthy habits to look good (or beautiful), we simply use make-ups and other cosmetics.
Instead of eating the right kinds of food (diet) to lose weight, we simply go to a doctor and undergo liposuction and other remedies.
Instead of cleaning the kitchen to get rid of pests like cockroaches, we simply use insecticides to kill them.
Instead of preparing and doing the hard work, we simply bribe our professors in order for us to pass the examination.
and a lot more examples of this kind.
What I would like to say here is that we fail to do things to improve the situation. Instead of directly solving the problem, we tend to get rid of it by just focusing on other things. In ideal situation, as in the first example regarding the tv, the right way to do it is to have a clear understanding of the problem by having a thorough check on all of its parts and systems. Just like how the “professionals” of “engineers” do it. Remove or replace the “parts” that is causing the problem, and finally anticipate that it can happen again in the future, that is why it is very important to prepare some ready solutions or formulate or make a system that would lessen the chance of this happening again. It seems that we won things just by default or the opponent losing it rather than improving ourselves and win it by good performance.
I am not really an expert and I cannot really express in good words those things running inside my mind. What I would just like to express is my frustration regarding what has been happening now and again in our country. We are really not addressing or answering the challenges and problems in our country. We have been like this for a very long time. I rate ourselves in this generation as failures. We have not even produce good leaders and fail to give good directions in our lives. It is about time to at least give the future generation easier time by addressing these things. It only requires good faith in what we intend to achieve. Then I will start hoping again, especially for our children.
